Hi,
yesterday I uploaded Leopold Mozart's book, "A Treatise on the Fundamental Principles of Violin Playing" which I downloaded from http://www.archive.org (of course I mentioned it) - so I guess it was legal (?). Today I can't see it on IMSLP, everything just disappeared and nobody sent me an explanation. Why?
Greetings,
Grimbald

Re: The file I uploaded has been deleted with no reason
The preface by Alec Hyatt King (1911-1994) is under copyright worldwide, and the translation (©1948) by Editha Knocker (d.1950) is under copyright in the USA and EU. It's OK to upload it as long as the preface is deleted. Do keep in mind that it will be under the [TB] temporary block due to its USA status. The book's availability at archive.org is no guarantee of it being public domain. I'm a little surprised Oxford hasn't gone after them about it yet.

actually we have http://imslp.org/wiki/Template:NonPDsubmission for this.
