Some suggestions! Please!!!

Hi everyone!
My teacher asked if I could search scores specifically written for Bass (or a low baritone), and also, scores specifically composed for a tenor. I have no ideas, so I'm looking for some suggestions! She prefers non operatic songs (Lieder, Folksongs, Chansson, other...). Can anyone help me?

Bach and Telemann both wrote cantatas that have nice low male voice parts, but off the top of my head, all I can think of is Bach's Ich Habe Genug, which might not be quite low enough, but have a look anyway and see. A lot of these works are chamber works -- there will be an obbligato instrument added in. In the case of Ich Habe Genug, Bach wrote a version for oboe and one for flute, but I don't remember which is the original.

The string parts are frequently reduced to a keyboard part -- organ works quite well for this.

Musica Rara (owned by Breitkopf these days) puts out an edition of Bach's "Complete Arias and Sinfonias" that are organized by voice type, so you get soprano/flute, etc. down to bass and whatever. In these sets, the string parts are reduced to keyboard.

They aren't public domain, because someone did the string revisions into keyboard parts, but they are very useful volumes for singers, since they only have to buy the volumes for their voice types. There are at least 2 volumes of bass/flute and another couple of bass/oboe, and if you other singers to work with, there are also multiple voice volumes -- one is for soprano, bass, 2 oboe d'amores.

How about Schubert's Winterreise? I heard it live recently, on a cold, wet Sunday evening, and it's pretty spectacular, but not exactly a bundle of laughs. It may make you want to slit your throat! You could pick a song or songs to suit your needs. It's got a big piano part so you'd need a good pianist to get the full effect.

Schubert wrote some fantastic songs for bass (aldona listed a few on another thread). Of course, Philidor, Wintereisse isn't supposed to be read in winter...die schoene muellerin is.
