I wish to upload the UE edition full score.
This work has appeared to be in the public domain and is reprinted by Kalmus.
The UE edition notices:
Copyright 1935 by Universal Edition A.G., Wien.
Copyright renewed 1963
UE 10687
Is this safe to upload? Thanks.

Re: Bizet Symphony 1
This copy doesn't meet the threshold of originality required by Canadian law because, if memory serves, it was only an engraving of an otherwise previously-published full score in manuscript or copyist form. It may be under copyright in the U.S. still; I think Kalmus reprinted the copyist manuscript.

Re: Bizet Symphony 1
Apparently the renewal claim is bogus. Alternatively, Choudens (who issued the same score under their own imprint) may have injected the work into the US public domain due to publication without notice. Either way, the 1935 score you mention has been reprinted by both Kalmus (replacing their previous manuscript score) and Dover and is presently available on sale from them. Post away. BTW, this is one of the reasons I frequently put in the links to Dover scores at Amazon. It stands as another form of proof against spurious copyright claims.
