Hi folks,
is there any possibility of the violin caprices of Camillo sivory being unshackled in the near future ?
Regards sisabed.
Violin caprices opus 25 Camillo Sivori
Re: Violin caprices opus 25 Camillo Sivori
The particular edition we have was edited by Enrico Polo, who died in 1953. This means that at the earliest, in countries with a life +50 law, it came into the public domain on 1 January 2004. However, in countries with a life+70 law, it will only be PD in 2014.
It would be more helpful if someone could find an original edition to upload, because you will have to wait for another 2 1/2 years for this one to be unblocked, and then it will only be legal for you to download in countries that have life+70 or less.

Ahem, try adding another decade, i.e. 2024.
It would indeed be desirable to find a different version as it is possible the technical block may persist all the way up to the end of the EU copyright term.
Cheers, PML
