A few users have been uploading scores from the National Library of Spain as can be seen from the over 2,400 work pages with scores from BDH documented here. Perhaps one factor limiting more users from uploading their scores is that BDH's bogus copyright notice that appears on every page of each score must be removed prior to uploading it to IMSLP as we are not going to give any legitimacy to their claims of copyright ownership on material that is obviously in the public domain.

Thanks to let me know about the situation.
I had been looking for some special arrangements of catalan folk songs (outstanding composers) and I've found it there. Then I've realized the interest of this collection for the IMSLP users.
Thanks again!

Then please provide the composers and works you've found! With which search criteria did you obtain your page of results: http://bdh.bne.es/bnesearch/Search.do?t ... ageView=en ?

I had to choose only three popular catalan folk songs for an International Consensus on Singing Pedagogy (I had already choosed other two that are not in public domain).
It was my idea to look for outstanding composers that have done the arrangements as a way to spread the knowledge of catalan history of music.

I searched it there in two ways
1- Canciones+populares+Cataluña
2- Canciones+populares+españolas+Cataluña

Individual pages in PDFs are pasword protected, but in the whole PDFs it can be exported as individual pages without protection.

My choice were this songs :

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song : Muntanyes regalades
Arranger : Josep Sancho i Marraco (1879-1960)

Score :

(b La Garriga, 27 Feb 1879; d there, 17 Sept 1960). Catalan (spanish) composer and church musician. He was a boy chorister at Barcelona Cathedral, where he was appointed choirmaster in 1923. One of the greatest 20th-century composers of liturgical music in Spain, he wrote craftsmanlike masses and motets.

Song : La pastoreta
Arranger : Càndid Candi i Casanovas (1844-1911)

Score : In Volume 1 (got an award in the “Weltausstellung 1873 Wien”)
http://bdh-rd.bne.es/viewer.vm?id=0000134578

Càndid Candi was a key person in the renovation of the sacred music in Catalonia during the last three decades of the XIX century. Candi was taught composing by Bonaventura Frigola and Bernat Calbó. Through the major part of his life he was Kapellmeister in various churches of Barcelona: “Església de Sant Just Pastor” (1864), “Convent de Santa Clara” (1872) y “Església parroquial de Sant Jaume” (1887). In 1879 he was elected as a member of the “Academia Filosófico Científica” where he was responsible for the musical section. He also became the honorary member of the “Asociación Musical Barcelonesa” and of the “Orfeón de Bilbao”. His musical works mainly show the evident sacred character (motets, masses, salves…) although he also composed pieces for piano and sardanas, and composed music to his friend’s, Jacint Verdaguer, numerous poems. Apart from his work as composer he also became famous for being the predecessor in searching for the Catalan folklore and its popularisation through gathering and instrumentation of many popular songs.

Song : El testament d’Amèlia
Arranger : Joan Gay i Planella (1867-1926)

Score :

(b Barcelona, 1867, d Buenos Aires, 1926) was a composer, contributor to the Orfeó Català. He developed his career in Catalonia, Cuba and Argentina, also published in France with a volume of original folk songs in Catalan and translated into French

I'll work on that one and upload it as soon as I'm finished with another big one from BNF. :-)

I didn't notice any password protection when you click on an individual page of the left column. The pdf shows up in the right column and you can save it. Which browser do you have?

You can also use PDFtk https://www.pdflabs.com/tools/pdftk-the-pdf-toolkit/ to extract a single page or piece from a big PDF.

Merci bien!

I've always been able to save pages as pdf.

But on 5/8/2014 the pdfs downloaded from the single page that is shown at the right side were pasword protected (credited as iText 2.1.7 by 1T3X).
Now it aren't protected that way anymore.

The pdfs for the whole document were not pasword protected at that time, nor now.

But anyway still some kind of trouble because still now I can't manipulate none of the pdfs with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
The way I have done it is rasterize the non protected pdfs in photoshop (to take out the BNE credits and clean them carefully).

Don't waste your time on Photoshop! If you just need to remove the copyright tag from the bottom of every image it is much easier to use the program Briss from http://briss.sourceforge.net/. With this program you load the entire pdf at once and then crop off the bottom from the entire thing. Will save you a lot of time.
