Hi, I posted a more specific enquiry in another forum, but in general I'd like some more information on this.
I have made an animation for a non profit, charity in the UK. The animation will go on their YouTube channel.
I'm not good enough at piano to write a top quality song to match the animation, but I am ok at midi software like ableton live, so I thought it would be a good idea to take a piece of classical music, played as a midi file, and use that as the basis for a new song.
I'm having a tough time figuring out if this is ok or not? As I understand it, as long as the song is out of copyright, and the midi performer allows it, it is ok? Is there anything which people think I should be aware of here?
Can anyone help?
Thanks
