The National Széchényi Library in Budapest have digitised the section of the autograph of Mozart Sonata in A, K.331 which was discovered in their collection last year. [See the dedicated website here: http://mozart.oszk.hu/index_en.html]
Just wondering what the copyright status of those four images is, considering the manuscript has only been known for just over a year. There are also two images of the Modulating Prelude in F Major-E minor there, which are almost certainly OK.

In Canada, the manuscript is public domain, USA also. EU is possibly subject to Editio princeps but this assumes no copies of any kind were made between composition and discovery.

But it's the well known Alla Turca Sonata! http://imslp.org/wiki/Piano_Sonata_No.1 ... g_Amadeus)Carolus wrote:EU is possibly subject to Editio princeps but this assumes no copies of any kind were made between composition and discovery.

But the "new" fragment reveals a few important differences from the previously published editions, differences which are carefully laid out when clicking on the given link and then choosing "Musical Signifcance".

Does it need to be PD in all the three jurisdictions?

No. Canada is the only one that counts. The fact that it is an earlier version of something published long ago is likely to disqualify it for EP even in the EU.
