There is some confusion in the web page relating to this work. It has, largely, been caused by, apparently, there not being a specific Overture for this work but by the use of either of two other Overtures in performances of the work.
On the 'Rosamunde' web page, there is a Score entitled 'Rosamunde' which includes 9 movements of incidental music as well as the Overture. Also, there is a set of parts for the Overture and, as expected, each is headed 'Schubert Rosamunde'. However, the Overture in the Score is not the same as the one to which the parts relate! This Overture, is, in fact, that from 'Alfonso Estralla'. That is the source of the confusion.
The Overture corresponding to the set of parts is, in fact, from 'Die Zauberharfe'. (And, the set of parts for the Overture on the 'Die Zauberharfe' web page is identical to the set on the 'Rosamunde' web page - and entitled Schubert Rosamunde!)
So, there is reasonable consistency on the 'Die Zauberharfe' web page but not on the 'Rosamunde' web page. So, my suggestion is that, either a prominent note is added near the top of the 'Rosamunde' web page explaining the discrepancy or that a copy of one of the Scores from the 'Die Zauberharfe' web page be put on the 'Rosamunde' web page. together with an explanation as to why it is entitled 'Die Zauberharfe' rather than 'Rosamunde'! Thank you.
